The role of Community Learning Disability Nurse at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust involves working part-time within the Intensive Community Assessment and Treatment Team (ICATT) in Mansfield. The position focuses on providing rapid and short-term assessment and treatment for individuals with intellectual disabilities who may also face mental health challenges, aiming to deliver care in their homes as an alternative to hospital admission. Candidates will need to demonstrate a high level of professional competence for autonomous practice and manage their own caseload, while excelling in communication and collaboration with patients, carers, and other health professionals.

Applicants must be a registered Learning Disability Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and possess experience with individuals with learning disabilities, mental health issues, and challenging behaviors. The role requires flexibility to work over a seven-day period, including weekends, bank holidays, and after hours. A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for business use are mandatory, though accommodations will be considered for individuals with disabilities. Regular support and supervision will be provided by senior team members.
