Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced pharmacist for the role of Professional Lead for Medicines Optimisation. In this position, you will collaborate with the Corporate Medicines Optimisation Team and a network of pharmacy professionals to ensure the safe and cost-effective use of medicines across a variety of community services. Key responsibilities include auditing antimicrobial use, developing clinical frameworks, advising on sustainable medicines practices, delivering training, and leading the medication safety program as the Medication Safety Officer (MSO) for the organisation.

This role plays a crucial part in providing strategic direction for medicine management in accordance with national priorities, supporting clinical teams that utilize medicines. The Professional Lead will also assist the Accountable Officer for Controlled Drugs and deputize for the Head of Medicines Optimisation as needed, ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards throughout services within the Trust.
