SYNOPSIS •  • 
The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Nurse Specialist to join their screening team in Greater Manchester & East Cheshire. The role involves performing abdominal ultrasound scans during nurse-led clinics, providing care to patients in the AAA Screening Programme, and conducting assessments for patients who screen positive for AAA. The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training to complete a Level 3 Diploma for Health Screeners.

Key responsibilities include ensuring high standards of ultrasound scanning per national protocols, coordinating patient care, and maintaining accurate data entry into relevant databases. Excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to work are essential, as the position may require occasional Saturday or evening work. The role is based at Wythenshawe Hospital but involves daily travel to various clinics in the region.

This is a permanent, full-time position with typical hours of Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:30.
