An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced paediatric Dietitian to join our team in Ipswich Hospital.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Dietitian to provide a paediatric dietetic service to children with complex feeding difficulties, many who require home enteral tube feeding.
You will be providing a dietetic service to children aged between 4-16 years who have a wide range of communication, physical, profound and multiple learning difficulties.
This job provides the opportunity to apply a variety of clinical skills including enteral feeds, nutrition support, healthy eating and allergies. The job involves a mixture of outpatient clinics and home visits. In addition you will have your own caseload of home enteral tube feeds.
You will be expected to work closely with the multidisciplinary teams based in the schools and wider community. Within the dietetic department you will join a supportive team of paediatric dietitians. There will also be the opportunity to practice some general paediatrics.
You will require a range of skills including the ability to manage a busy workload and should be someone who enjoys working within a team and is eager to provide support to others.

To manage a caseload of paediatric Home Enteral Tube Fed patients.
To provide a dietetic service to children and their parents/ carers attending clinics in a variety of settings; including specialist schools, community clinics and hospital outpatients.
Provide supervision and support to the band 4 paediatric dietetic assistant practitioners.
To contribute to the dietetic service providing a source of expertise to patients, carers, medical practitioners and allied health professionals and social care professionals as part of the multidisciplinary team.
To provide specialist input into the planning, development and evaluation of
dietetic
services within your team and for defined projects.

To manage a caseload of paediatric Home Enteral Tube Fed patients.
To provide a dietetic service to children and their parents/ carers attending clinics in a variety of settings; including specialist schools, community clinics and hospital outpatients.
