This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop their skills and broaden their experience as we are seeking to appoint a permanent Assistant Finance Manager.
You will be a highly motivated, hardworking, and focused individual who is able to provide accurate financial and analytical support to the relevant operational teams. With either some progress towards a recognised accounting qualification or suitable relevant experience, you will be familiar with the use of financial systems and processes and will possess strong Excel skills.
You will work closely within a small team to provide a full financial management service as well as supporting the team with service changes and having responsibility for the day-to-day management and training of a Finance Assistant.
The post holder will have experience of working flexibly within a busy finance team with competing priorities. They will possess good written and verbal communication skills and have experience of staff management. Influencing skills and an ability to appreciate the wider context in relation to financial analysis are also essential elements of this role.

The post holder will assist in the provision of financial support and advice to Trust Directorates working with non-finance leaders, which include Associate Directors of Operations, Divisional Leads and Directorate Managers to establish a sound basis for the planning and development of service changes. The post holder will assist the Deputy Head of Finance (Financial management) in ensuring that robust monitoring information is provided to enable directorates to manage their financial position and the Trust to fulfil its financial duties.
