The Training Programme Director for Old Age Psychiatry in Liverpool will oversee the delivery of the Mersey training programme within NHS England North West. This role involves collaborating with the Head of School of Psychiatry to strategically develop the North West School of Psychiatry and support the operational programme. As a member of the School Board and Old Age Psychiatry Specialty Training Committee, the director will focus on the recruitment and retention of trainees while promoting a culture of equality, diversity, and inclusion within the workforce.

This position is initially a three-year secondment, with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a collaborative and compassionate leadership style and will be committed to advancing the health and well-being of trainees. The post holder will oversee the delivery of the Old Age Psychiatry (Mersey) training Programme in NHS England North West.

The post holder will support the Head of School in the Strategic Development of the North West School of Psychiatry and contribute to supporting the School Operational Programme.

The post holder will be a member of the School Board and Old Age Psychiatry Speciality Training committee.

Please note this is a 3 year secondment with potential to extend to a maximum of three years, subject to mutual agreement.
