This is a great opportunity to join our friendly pharmacy team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton.The department is progressive, supportive and provides ample opportunities forgrowth and development.
As a key member of the multidisciplinary Frail Elderly Assessment Team (FEAT) you will be working alongside other clinicians whilst providing an enhanced clinical pharmacy service and utilising independent prescribing skills to assist the team to ensure high quality, safe and timely management of patients. Additionally you will provide support for the acute medicine business unit for 2 days per week.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a supportive, friendly and approachable team of dedicated advanced clinical pharmacists & technicians. We are a pro-active team; encourage research and personal development and most recently, the team was a 2024 finalist for the HSJ Patient Safety Awards.
You will work collaboratively with the FEAT MDT and the well established pharmacy team working in the admissions areas. We are also actively involved in training and education of pharmacy and non-pharmacy staff. We aim to provide the best care for our patients and fully support our team members personal development to achieve this.
The post holder will work 3 days per work with the FEAT service & 2 days per week working with the acute medicine pharmacy service.

The successful candidate will be motivated and able to cope with the pace and demands that a busy acute medicine service presents. We see pharmacist independent prescriber status as a critical part of this role but will accept applications from candidates currently working towards this or willing to undergo training to achieve this qualification.
