The "Training Programme Director Core Psychiatry" position in Manchester with NHS England involves overseeing the Core Psychiatry training program in the North West, specifically the East region. The role includes supporting the Head of School in the strategic development and operational management of the School of Psychiatry, alongside membership in the School Board and Core Psychiatry Specialty Training committee. The position is a three-year secondment, with the possibility of extension. Key responsibilities include developing a Medical Workforce Strategy to enhance recruitment and retention of Core Psychiatry trainees, ensuring compliance with the RCPsych curriculum, managing trainee assessments, and promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the program.
