The role of "Psychologist Community OPD Band 7/8a" with Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust involves working within the Community Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) service in East and West Lincolnshire, primarily with individuals on probation who have personality disorders. The position focuses on delivering core consultation and the Intensive Intervention Risk Management Services (IIRMS) through a combination of consultation, supervision, training, and targeted interventions. The trust is particularly interested in enthusiastic and motivated psychologists, including newly qualified professionals, and offers a 12-24 month preceptorship program to facilitate professional development from band 7 to 8a.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with probation practitioners and other criminal justice partners to enhance service delivery and improve outcomes for service users, thereby contributing to a reduction in re-offending. Candidates should possess a patient-focused approach, enjoy challenges, and ideally have relevant experience or knowledge of the OPD services and pathways. Additionally, support for Schema Therapy accreditation will be provided to further enhance the service provided to individuals within the criminal justice system.
