Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Theatre Practitioner to join the Theatre Department at Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli. This role involves working in a busy unit that provides various services across multiple specialties, with a focus on teamwork and patient care. Candidates should ideally possess an RGN qualification or a Diploma/Degree in Operating Department Practice, along with a willingness to work in the Post Operative Recovery area. While experience in a recovery setting is preferred, full training and support will be offered to motivated applicants. Additionally, knowledge of the Welsh language is desirable, though English speakers are also encouraged to apply.

The position includes participation in an on-call rota for out-of-hours emergency services and offers a friendly and supportive work environment. The Health Board is committed to promoting bilingualism among staff to enhance patient care, providing opportunities for staff to learn Welsh if needed. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Theatre Practitioner, in the Theatre Department, Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli.

The Main Theatre Department is a busy unit providing a range of services across a number of specialities.

Participation in an on call rota is required to facilitate the provision of out of hours emergency services.

The Department has a friendly supportive environment, which is strongly centred on teamwork and patient care. The Theatre team are all dedicated to helping the people of their community and are proud to work in one of the most diverse, dynamic and beautiful counties in the UK.

Successful candidates would be required to hold a RGN qualification or Diploma/Degree in Operating Department Practice and provide evidence of professional development, with a desire to work within the Post Operative Recovery area within the operating theatre department. Ideally the candidate will have experience of working within a recovery setting of the operating theatre, however, full support and training would be given to any candidate who is motivated to join our team.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
