The Band 7 Library Services Manager at the Uffculme Centre in Birmingham is tasked with the strategic development of the library and knowledge service at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, the largest mental health trust in the West Midlands. This role involves ensuring that library services are aligned with the organisation’s strategic priorities, facilitating evidence-based patient care, and adhering to the 'Knowledge for Healthcare' framework. The manager will oversee two libraries and lead a team of six, including two qualified librarians, while promoting effective use of knowledge across departments to support decision-making and policy development. Additional responsibilities include providing learning facilities for staff and fostering partnerships to enhance service delivery and quality improvement.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced library manager with leadership skills and an understanding of knowledge mobilisation in NHS mental health services. The position emphasises the importance of developing a comprehensive knowledge service that supports both internal and external collaboration, ultimately contributing to the continuous professional development of staff and ensuring effective evidence-informed practices.
