TalkPlus is a high achieving Talking Therapies Service for people in North East Hampshire and Farnham. We offer a core service focused on evidence-based therapy for anxiety, depression and insomnia. Whilst collaborating with local partners, we have well-established integrated pathways for people with LongTerm Physical Health Conditions and sleep difficulties. As well as offering employment support, our experienced team provide innovative single session therapy (known as FAST) to people in need of one-off support such as colleagues working in the NHS and emergency services
Our dedicated Psychological Well-being Practitioners offer a range of psychological therapies & services to treat and support people in their recovery. Talkplus is committed to developing staff to reach their full potential.
We have an exciting opportunity for Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (Trainee PWP) to join our team.

For successful applications, interviews will be held on the 11th & 18th December 2024 face to face in our offices in Farnborough.

This is a training role within Talkplus (NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression service). The post-holder will work within Talkplus providing high volume, low intensity interventions whilst undertaking a programme of training at Reading University for this role. The training post will equip the postholder to provide a range of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based guided self help interventions to clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression. The post-holder will attend all taught and self-study days required by The University as specified within National Low Intensity curriculum and work in the service for the remaining days of the week using their newly developed skills
The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.
This is a training role within the NHS Talking Therapies programme and the trainee will take an active role in the service.
Once qualified (verification agreed) the Trainee PWP post will be upgraded to a band 5.
