The Medicines Management Technician at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust plays a crucial role in delivering a comprehensive Pharmaceutical Service to patients. This position involves collaborating with pharmaceutical staff to manage clinical technical services on the wards, which includes taking detailed medication histories, offering guidance and education to patients and healthcare professionals, and inspecting patients' own drugs for reuse. The technician will implement an efficient "one-stop" dispensing service, liaise with various healthcare providers, and support clinical pharmacists in ensuring optimal pharmaceutical care.

Additionally, the role entails training and developing other technicians, enhancing existing systems on the wards, managing training packages, and conducting personal development reviews. The technician will also be responsible for assessing patient compliance, interpreting medical documentation, and identifying necessary aids to promote effective medication management. Overall, this position emphasises teamwork, patient education, and the continuous improvement of pharmaceutical services within the Trust.
