The Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Cardiothoracic Anaesthetic Clinical Fellow with a minimum of two years' post-registration experience in anesthetics, including at least six months at ST3/CT3 level. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of consultants and clinical fellows at the Essex cardiothoracic center, which provides intensive care for cardiac, thoracic surgical, and cardiology patients. Responsibilities include daily ward rounds, assisting in outpatient clinics, and participation in teaching, clinical audits, and multi-disciplinary meetings. The role also involves on-call duties overseeing patient care in the High Dependency Unit and Intensive Care Unit, as well as communication with consultants regarding patient management.

In addition to hands-on clinical work, the position offers opportunities for further training in areas such as echocardiography and bronchoscopy. Candidates are expected to contribute to the smooth operation of the Surgery Programme, maintain accurate documentation, and assist in the effective use of resources. The post requires someone enthusiastic about working in a collaborative environment and committed to providing high-quality patient care.
