The role of Sister/Charge at the 7A Chemotherapy Day Unit in London with Barts Health NHS Trust is aimed at experienced Band 6 Nurses who are proficient in chemotherapy and supportive therapies for patients with Haemato-Oncology and Solid Cancer. The position offers the opportunity to work in a nurse-led service that provides comprehensive patient care, with responsibilities including the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care in collaboration with an inter-professional team. The postholder will also serve as a professional role model and clinical teacher, mentor nursing staff, and occasionally take charge of the Day Care Unit.

The unit primarily operates Monday to Friday with flexible full-time and part-time opportunities available. Nurses in this role will engage in continuous professional development, including participation in research and the pursuit of advanced degrees. Responsibilities also include coordinating prescriptions and necessary preparations to ensure timely treatment delivery. The position emphasises the delivery of high standards of care while fostering a supportive learning environment for staff development.
