We are looking to recruit a permanent Band 7 qualified Clinical Psychologist to work within the Paediatric Psychology Department at the Sheffield Children's Hospital, providing clinical input into Haematology/ Oncology workstream.
Suitable for applicants who are about to qualify
You will join a well-established and innovative Paediatric Clinical Psychology service which has firmly established administrative support, and provides regional and national specialist services, through direct patient care, consultation and supervision within general paediatrics as well as many specialist services. The team is multi-disciplinary with Family Therapy and Liaison Psychiatry. There are currently good prospects for further expansion of the paediatric clinical psychology service.
You will also join the wider Paediatric Psychology Department which offers input to many clinical services across Sheffield Children's Hospital, from within medical and surgical hospital divisions. The hospital itself looks after patients aged 0-19 referred from all around the UK.
There is a strong culture of research and training within the Paediatric Psychology Department, and a huge amount of expertise in working with children with physical health problems.
Informal visits and enquiries are strongly encouraged.
Please refer to the job description and person specification for full details of the role.
