The South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in neurodisability to join their paediatric department for a substantive role involving 10 programmed activities. The successful candidate will be part of the Neurodisability team and will contribute to service developments within a multidisciplinary setting, which encompasses neonatology, general and community paediatrics, and paediatric emergency medicine across the Sunderland and South Tyneside area. The position offers flexibility in clinic activities based on service requirements and the candidate’s expertise.

The role entails coordinating the strategic and operational aspects of neurodisability services while aligning with national and local healthcare priorities. Applicants should have or expect to obtain a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Paediatrics or equivalent qualifications within six months of the interview and will benefit from available office space and secretarial support.
