University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a motivated Advanced Practitioner Ultrasound/Sonographer to join their Imaging department, which serves a diverse patient population across multiple sites. The successful candidate will perform, report, and interpret a wide range of ultrasound examinations autonomously, adhering to departmental protocols while ensuring high-quality imaging. The role also includes mentoring and training other staff members, managing workflow, and supporting the day-to-day organisation of the ultrasound service, which covers various specialties, including obstetrics, pediatrics, and vascular imaging.

The Advanced Practitioner will be responsible for patient care, ensuring safety and welfare during examinations, as well as engaging in communication with patients regarding their results. Additionally, the role involves participating in quality assurance programs, developing ultrasound protocols, and supporting a 7-day service operation. Strong interpersonal skills will be essential for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and providing expert clinical advice within the Trust and regionally.
