The Black Country Integrated Care Board is seeking applications for five Associate Medical Director (AMD) positions in Wolverhampton, aimed at collaborative clinical professionals with a background in various health disciplines, including medicine, nursing, and public health. Candidates should have leadership experience and a strong understanding of health inequalities, with a desire to drive system-level change. The AMDs will work closely with the Chief Medical Officer and other senior leaders to oversee a range of clinical responsibilities, manage clinical directors, and ensure collaboration across the Integrated Care System. The role offers flexibility in terms of the number of sessions, fostering a supportive environment for effective clinical leadership, transformation, and improved health outcomes across the region.

Key responsibilities include providing clinical support and guidance, leading specific portfolios, engaging with stakeholders, and facilitating development across the four areas of the Black Country ICB system. AMDs will be expected to represent the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, chair clinical reference groups, and promote evidence-based use of healthcare resources. They will also play a role in strategic planning in alignment with national guidelines, involving continuous professional development and collaborative efforts across healthcare partnerships to enhance patient care and meet population health needs.
