The role of a Dietetic Support Worker with Cardiff and Vale University Health Board involves assisting in the delivery of the All Wales Diabetes Prevention Programme for adults at high risk of type 2 diabetes. The position is based in community clinics across Cardiff and the Vale, with opportunities for both individual and group interventions. The focus is on engaging and educating clients to help them set personal lifestyle goals rather than prescribing specific diets. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, and a passion for promoting healthy lifestyles. Fluency in Welsh is desirable. Two fixed-term positions are available until March 2026.
