"Best of both" at the Whittington -
The Whittington Hospital is a unique place. It combines the academic ethos of a University Hospital with the friendliness of a Rural DGH. The number of students and junior doctors who return as registrars and consultants is testament to the positive working environment and the collegiate atmosphere that has been created. Add in the lowest Standardised Mortality Ratio in the country and you have a hospital that is a great place to work.

The team of consultants, registrars and specialist nurses care for adults in outpatient clinics at The Whittington Health, and covers hospital inpatients and urgent referrals from GPs and the emergency department. We are working closely with our colleagues in the musculoskeletal physiotherapy service, pain management, imaging, trauma and orthopaedics, dermatology, gastroenterology and podiatry.
