The East Lancashire Alliance is seeking a GP Assistant for the Burnley West PCN, tasked with supporting GPs by handling routine administrative and clinical responsibilities to enhance clinic efficiency. Key duties include managing clinical correspondence, scheduling appointments and referrals, preparing patients for consultations, conducting basic health assessments (such as blood pressure checks and phlebotomy), and assisting with immunisations and wound care. The role also requires maintaining confidentiality, promoting health and safety, and coordinating meetings related to safeguarding and palliative care.
