The Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time Specialty Doctor in Adult Mental Health for the City South Local Mental Health Team. This fixed-term position, lasting one year, comprises 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) divided into 8 Direct Clinical Care and 2 Supporting Professional Activities sessions. Key responsibilities include assessing new patients, liaising with GPs, managing patient recovery, handling Mental Health Act duties as necessary, participating in an on-call rota, and providing support for colleagues. The role also includes opportunities for teaching and supervision of medical students and junior doctors.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Specialty Doctor will undertake administrative tasks related to patient care, contribute to the Trust's academic programs, maintain professional registration, participate in job plan reviews, and engage in financial management for the service. The position requires a commitment to high-quality, evidence-based community medical care and adherence to the Trust's policies on Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.
