NHS Devon Integrated Care Board is looking for a proactive and experienced Medicines Optimisation Pharmacy Technician to join their team in Exeter. The ideal candidate will be a registered Pharmacy Technician with excellent organisational and time management skills, capable of working efficiently within a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. The role involves implementing effective prescribing initiatives, collaborating closely with GPs and members of Primary Care Networks (PCNs), and supporting the medicines optimisation agenda in GP practices across Devon.

Responsibilities include conducting audits, facilitating communication with patients, monitoring prescribing performance, and developing projects aimed at enhancing the quality and cost-effectiveness of medication use. The position offers a supportive environment that values the contribution of Pharmacy Technicians and encourages professional growth, with potential opportunities for development even if applicants don’t meet all essential criteria upon application. The successful candidate will mainly work within North and East Devon but will be required to travel to various GP practices as needed.
