The South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Practitioner Psychologist or Psychological Therapist to spearhead the implementation of trauma-informed approaches (TIA) in adult acute inpatient wards. The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team (MDT) dedicated to enhancing clinical care through TIA while ensuring the strategy is developed collaboratively with stakeholders, including service users and community representatives. This role involves supervising and guiding the team, providing expert clinical input, and fostering a culturally competent and anti-racist environment aligned with the Trust's strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities include designing and executing a trauma-informed strategy for inpatient care, delivering specialist psychological assessments and therapies, and enhancing service delivery through effective stakeholder engagement. The post-holder will oversee policy development, ensure high-quality service provision, manage psychological resources, and contribute to training and research initiatives aimed at improving trauma-informed care practices within the Trust. Flexibility in working hours is offered to promote an optimal work-life balance.
