The Lead Physiologist for Respiratory and Sleep Services at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust will play a crucial role in the operational management and delivery of respiratory and sleep services, working alongside the departmental and clinical leadership. The position requires a highly experienced Physiologist with advanced skills, ensuring that all services meet the standards set by the Association of Respiratory Technology and Physiology (ARTP) and regulatory bodies. Responsibilities include managing the day-to-day operations of the diagnostic service across various hospital locations, overseeing the quality and efficiency of service provision, and supporting the development and training of staff.

In addition to clinical duties, which will comprise a minimum of 50% of the role, the postholder will focus on resource and human resource management, service development, and maintaining high-quality standards in patient care. The Lead Physiologist will be involved in recruitment, training junior staff, and leading quality assurance initiatives, ensuring that all respiratory and sleep services are delivered in alignment with clinical demands and national standards.
