The role of Consultant Radiographer in Breast Imaging at West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust involves delivering expert clinical practice in breast imaging, including mammography interpretation, breast ultrasound, and image-guided interventions. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within the breast consultant radiology team to ensure coverage of symptomatic and screening clinics, provide specialist consultations, and play a critical role in improving patient outcomes through the integration of research evidence into practice. Responsibilities include performing advanced breast imaging procedures, managing a dedicated advanced practice caseload, advising multidisciplinary teams and patients, and contributing to the operational development and clinical governance of breast imaging services.

In addition to clinical duties, the role emphasises leadership and mentorship, with expectations to inspire and support colleagues, promote a culture of continuous learning, and actively engage in research and audit activities.
