The Grantham Emergency Assessment Unit (EAU) is seeking a passionate and innovative Ward Manager (Band 7) to oversee the daily operations of its 24/28 bedded assessment area for medical patients, starting in April 2025. The ideal candidate will be a strong patient advocate with excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of general medical nursing principles. They will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team and support the nursing staff to enhance service delivery and patient-centered care.

This role entails effective management of the department, ensuring a seamless patient experience as they transition through the hospital. The successful applicant will play a key role in developing and improving services in a supportive environment and will work in partnership with the Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) teams at Grantham. The Emergency Assessment Unit at Grantham is looking for a new ward manager. We are looking for a dynamic individual with great ideas and a passion for providing high quality patient centred care. The successful applicant will have a drive to develop and improve services.

EAU is a 24/28 bedded assessment area caring for medical patients. We admit patients from SDEC, UTC, GPs and clinics.

Please note this position is not due to start until April 2025.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic individual to take on the role of the ward manager. You will be responsible for day to day running of the department, with the support of the band 6 team.

You must be able to communicate at all levels, be a strong patient advocate and have a good understanding of the principles of general medical nursing.

EAU have an established MDT and we pride ourselves in the fact that we work as a team to support our patients journey through the hospital.

We work closely with the UTC and SDEC at Grantham.
