TIC Health is seeking a Lung Cancer Screening Specialist Nurse to join their team in Bristol, as part of the NHS England national Lung Cancer Screening Programme. This initiative aims to enhance early detection of lung cancer in high-prevalence areas by conducting Lung Health Check (LHC) risk assessments and providing follow-up low-dose CT scans for higher-risk individuals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering specialist nursing advice and patient support throughout the screening process.
  • Conducting virtual LHC risk assessments and referring patients for CT scans after reviewing prior imaging records.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and participating in audits and data collection to ensure programme quality.
  • Educating patients and families on health promotion and smoking cessation, while respecting cultural sensitivities.
  • Maintaining adherence to nursing standards, ensuring patient and staff safety, and following all health and safety policies.
