The suitable candidate would ideally have a level 3 qualification or equivalent in experience. They would have good literacy and numeracy skills as well as keyboard or administration experience.

In this role you will provide comprehensive business and administrative support to the Microbiology service. The post holder will be expected to provide a high standard, adaptable and flexible resource to support teams in the provision of services. You will be responsible for the organisation and provision of duties undertaken in the microbiology office.
Duties may include contact with service users, members of the public and other external stakeholders. This post will include organisation and maintenance of effective systems (paper based and electronic) and the preparation of correspondence for team members (these could be Medical or non-Medical staff).
You will mentor and supervise the B&A apprentice.
You will contribute to quality management and improvement systems.
