The Royal Surrey County NHS Foundation Trust and are seeking to recruit an experienced Server Engineering and Security Manager on a Two-Year Fixed Term Contract.
The Server Engineering & Security Manager will oversee the entire lifecycle of the organisation's server, cloud, and datacentre infrastructure. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in server management, cloud infrastructure, virtualisation, and storage systems.
The role also requires flexible working by the organisation, including early start times and late finishes as required, to maintain appropriate coverage from 8am until 5pm.
The individual will work with a team of IT professionals, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance of server systems to support business operations.The key purpose of this role is to:o Ensure High Availabilityo Optimize Performanceo Strategic Planningo Security and Complianceo Disaster Recovery and Business Continuityo Project ManagementBy fulfilling these purposes, the Server Engineering & Security Manager ensures that the organisation's server infrastructure is robust, secure, and capable of supporting its evolving needs and working collaboratively with the Infrastructure Operations Manager to deliver the required outcomes.
