The post-holder will work as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team to provide expert advice and support to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals on Gynaecological cancers, across both secondary and primary care.

The post holder will work with the wider Gynaecological Cancer team and have close working relationships with the clinical research team, surgical team, medical oncology and clinical oncology colleagues across the Trust. The post holder will possess knowledge and skill across all the different treatment pathways and mentor and support junior colleagues in both CNS roles and across the wards

To provide current information, support and holistic care to patients and carers with a diagnosis of Gynaecological Cancer, ensuring that physical, spiritual, emotional and social concerns are addressed. Maintain effective communication with patients, carers and healthcare professionals, ensuring high quality service delivery.

Sensitively handle difficult situations that often arise involving patients, carers and health care professionals.
