There is a 12-month fixed term contract opportunity available for a Band 6 occupational therapist within the neuropsychiatry department at the Barberry National Centre for Mental Health. This will be an ideal opportunity for someone with an interest in working across the areas of neurology and psychiatry to gain new knowledge, skills and broaden their experience in this specialist area with patients across the West Midlands
This post would be particularly to support our outpatient epilepsy, chronic fatigue syndrome, functional neurological disorder and Huntington's disease services, both online and face to face in clinic and people's homes. The post offers opportunities to improve your knowledge and skills in self-management packages, as well as initial assessments and treatment approaches for complex conditions. This is an excellent opportunity to improve your clinical confidence and decision-making skills with support and is very suitable for someone who is highly motivated and adaptable. This will be within a well established and supportive OT team of 3 other Band 6 OTs and a Band 7 clinical specialist OT and other multidisciplinary team members.
