Wye Valley NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated Clinical Coding Team Leader to join its Clinical Coding Department in Hereford. This Band 6 position is ideal for an experienced B5 coder looking to expand their managerial skills while maintaining their coding workload. The role includes mentoring and training new coders, supervising the coding team alongside another leader, and ensuring that all monthly coding deadlines are met. Additionally, the candidate will support the Clinical Coding Manager in delivering effective coding services and may have opportunities to focus on auditing or training, with allocated financial and study time for development.

The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining high-quality coding standards, achieving coding accuracy, and managing team performance against national and local timeframes. Responsibilities also include providing training and mentorship to team members, engaging in data validation and analysis, and ensuring completion of all mandated coding requirements.
