Responsible for ensuring cleaning equipment and materials are properly used and kept clean at all times.

This is a varied and diverse role, where no two days are the same. The key responsibilities of this role are to provide a high quality and comprehensive caretaking service across our Trust. You will be working to high standards of cleaning.

A full clean UK driving licence is essential for this role.

The Caretakers role involves carrying out periodic cleaning, descaling and floor maintenance of all areas of the hospital site to include some off-site clinics.

You will also be responsible for assisting with small office moves and the delivering of equipment and supplies. This is an excellent opportunity to join our estates & facilities team, who support the maintenance and running of our hospital.

About us

To ensure that approved documented cleaning standards and frequencies are maintained at all times when carrying out periodic cleaning and descaling as scheduled.

To carry out HPV/UVC Decontaminations on request (following approved training)

To carry out small office/equipment moves across the Trust site, carry out heavy duty descaling, cleaning of kitchen areas and waste cupboards.

To hold a clean UK driving licence in order to be able to provide cleaning cover for any area across the Trust site and community areas in the absence of Cleanliness Assistants due to annual leave and sickness.

To maintain floors and clean carpets as requested.

To assist with delivering of supplies and equipment on occasion.

Liaison with the Facilities Senior Supervisor regarding cleaning equipment and cleanliness stock levels to ensure sufficient is always available.

Carry out water flushing regularly as scheduled.

Any other duties and responsibilities determined by the Facilities Senior Supervisor / Cleaning and Linen Services Manager within the parameters of this post.
