Working Full time : 37.5 hours per week An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our forward thinking Supplies Services. You will form part of a team which provides an efficient stock replenishment service to the Wards and Departments, and ensures the smooth running of the Supplies Department which includes carrying out a significant amount of manual handling. The role requires customer care experience. This is an apprenticeship role - and you will be completing a warehousing apprenticeship (Level 2) - if you already hold this apprenticeship, apprenticeship wage will not be applicable to your application. Otherwise the wage is £11.44p h until completion of the apprenticeship. Experience of Materials Management and/or a Stock Control System desirable To be able to carry out significant manual handling i.e. handling of pallets and bulk deliveries Customer Service skills and ability to demonstrate impact and proactive customer relationship building Good communication skills Initiative and Problem Solving skills To provide a full top up service to Wards and Departments using handheld computers and manual requisitions, making flexible adjustments depending on needs of the Trust To be able to plan and deliver own work schedule to an appropriate timescale To have the ability to work in all parts of Supplies To use the Trust Purchase and Supply System for all Supplies requirements, such as booking in deliveries, and using stock management system To deliver goods using safe manual handling processes To provide a service for ordering, receiving and put away of items within the Auto Dispensing Cabinets within the Trust About us See Job Description for further details. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £27.50(standard) or £55.50(enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first three months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. A small annual fee of £16per year applies. New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.
