The Nursing Assistant position at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust involves supporting registered nurses and the medical team in assessing patient fitness for elective surgery and contributing to the efficient operation of outpatient clinics. Responsibilities include performing various patient observations (e.g., height, weight, blood pressure), assisting with pre-operative assessments, and ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality. The role also requires interaction with patients, including welcoming them and recording their arrivals, along with facilitating communication between nursing staff and receptionists.

The successful candidate will maintain clinical documentation, assist with equipment management, and uphold a clean and organized environment within the clinic. Additionally, the Nursing Assistant will handle administrative duties, support new staff orientation, and ensure adherence to Trust policies and guidelines. This position, operating under the supervision of a Sister and an Operational Service Manager, promotes a supportive atmosphere for both patients and staff while ensuring high standards of care.
