The Bank Staff Nurse plays a crucial role in providing primary care interventions to offenders at HMP YOI Isis, as part of the Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust healthcare team. Responsibilities include delivering integrated nurse-led primary care services, managing a clinical caseload, and supporting junior staff while collaborating with senior managers.

Key duties involve:

  • Providing care for patients during reception, first-night assessments, ongoing treatment, and management of long-term conditions.
  • Exercising professional autonomy and making critical decisions under supervision.
  • Participating in clinical audits, research, and the development of evidence-based practice.
