MATERNITY MIDWIFERY NMC
The Community Midwife at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board in Wrexham will serve as an autonomous lead professional, providing comprehensive midwifery care to mothers and babies throughout pregnancy, labor, and the postnatal period. The role involves assessing and developing care plans, identifying deviations from normal circumstances, and making appropriate referrals to other healthcare professionals as needed. The midwife will work collaboratively within the guidelines set by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and the Health Board while ensuring that the care environment remains conducive to patient needs.

Additionally, the role requires effective communication with patients and colleagues, addressing performance issues, and being knowledgeable about child protection procedures for appropriate referrals. Proficiency in Welsh is desirable, but English-speaking candidates are also encouraged to apply. The position emphasises the importance of interpersonal skills to navigate complex patient care scenarios and deliver high-quality support to families during their maternity journey.
