In April 2025, the North Central London Integrated Care Board (NCL ICB), along with the other ICBs across England will take on responsibilities for a wide range of Specialised Services.
Delegation represents a significant increase in the responsibilities for the ICB and an exciting challenge to join up pathways, improve outcomes and coordinate the management of demand driven by our system clinical strategy for specialised services which is aligned to our overall Population Health & Integrated Care Strategy.
The Programme Manager will support the Head of Delegated Services and Assistant Director of Delegated Services to deliver improvements in partnership with our providers, who have also agreed to part fund the roles within the team. This is a role requiring a person capable of building and maintaining strategic partnerships, managing complex programmes and working in a matrix manner with internal and external partners, including with the Specialised Services Shared Commissioning Team who were previously hosted by NHS England (London Region) and will now be hosted by the NCL ICB on behalf of all London ICBs and NHSE.
This is a senior permanent role and the successful candidate will need to be working as a 7 or above within an NHS or very closely related Healthcare organisation with experience of managing complex healthcare programmes and will have experience of managing Delegated Services.
The Programme Manager will:
o Be responsible for leading their transformation programmes of work, working with NCL providers to determine programme plans.o Provide regular reporting to the Head of Delegated Services on the risks, challenges, mitigations and progress of transformation plans.o Develop governance structures to support transformation plans, this may include chairing or participating in steering groups supported by the Head of Delegated Services. o Be responsible for influencing groups to achieved desired outcomes.
