The role of "Occupational Therapist - Emergency Department Band 7" at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust involves leading a dedicated team within the Emergency Department, collaborating closely with the Allied Health Professionals (AHP) team and multidisciplinary team (MDT) members. The successful applicant will manage a complex caseload, providing assessments and delivering evidence-based, client-centered interventions aimed at enhancing patient independence and minimizing hospital readmissions. This position not only calls for clinical proficiency but also emphasises leadership, innovation, and service development, supporting ongoing improvements in patient care standards.

The role requires flexibility in working patterns, including potential weekend shifts as the Trust develops a 7-day therapy service.
