The Band 3 Generic Therapy Assistant position at King George Hospital, part of Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust, involves a dual role as a receptionist and rehabilitation assistant. The successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients attending Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy appointments, managing communications both in-person and via telephone. Responsibilities include supporting therapy clinicians, screening patients, preparing treatment environments, and providing treatment under the supervision of qualified therapists. Strong communication, customer service, and IT skills are essential for using various systems to manage patient appointments.

The role requires the ability to work collaboratively within a busy team, delivering both clinical and non-clinical support to therapists. Duties include treating patients as allocated, monitoring their progress, and participating in departmental training programs. The candidate should be capable of working independently while maintaining close communication with qualified therapists to facilitate effective patient care.
