MULTI-DISCIPLINARY NHS
The Benign MDT Coordinator at Ashford & St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Chertsey is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the activities of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) focused on benign conditions. Key duties include preparing for weekly MDT meetings by compiling necessary documentation and patient information, ensuring all MDT decisions and recommendations are accurately recorded and implemented on the Evolve system, and facilitating communication among various MDT members and departments within the Trust and other hospitals. The role also involves monitoring patient pathways to ensure timely investigations and treatments, conducting local audits for service improvement, and managing administrative tasks to support the smooth functioning of the MDT.

In addition to these responsibilities, the coordinator will liaise with clinicians, nurses, and secretarial staff to ensure effective management of patient symptoms and pathways. They are tasked with maintaining patient confidentiality, adhering to waiting time targets, and participating in departmental meetings and training sessions. The coordinator will also assist in implementing new technologies and processes to enhance the efficiency of the clinical office and provide high-quality administrative support to the team.
