Band 7: £46,148 to £52,809 a year per annum  PERMANENT

The National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) will transform the future of rehabilitation for people who have experienced injury or illness. In preparation for opening of the new centre in summer 2025, the Rehabilitation Directorate Team will support intensive MSK rehabilitation for a group of patients located on Edward 2 ward at Nottingham City Hospital.Joining the Edward 2 team and the National ambition for rehabilitation, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on many people's lives through being part of their rehabilitation journey and influencing the specialism by pushing the boundaries of rehabilitation forwards with involvement in research and technology.

We are looking for like-minded people to join our team tocreate the first collaborative specialist clinical rehabilitation centre in the UK sharing capability and expertise with the military in their Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre 400m away within the rehabilitation estate in Nottinghamshire. The NRC is hosted by Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and your application will be through this route.

We are looking for an ambitious and dedicated occupational therapist to join this journey to rehabilitation excellence, transforming outcomes for patients. If you were successful you would become a key part of shaping the service going forwards and contribute, with other professional colleagues, to the delivery of the future of rehabilitation.

The post holder will provide an effective highly specialist service in complex rehabilitation including assessment and advice/treatment as well as contributing to the NRC's national ambition of training, education, research and innovation.

This will include providing education and training, liaising across the specialty teams, with Therapy colleagues and wider multi-disciplinary teams within NUH, NRC and regionally.

This role will be permanently based at the NRC which plans to open in Summer 2025. In the meantime, the post holder will support preparation for the NRC and will be based on Edward 2 at the City Hospital Campus, trialling MSK pathways for the NRC.
