An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Established Hepatology Specialist Nurse team at NUH.
This new post within the team will have a focus on being a key resource for patients with Neuroendocrine tumors providing support, specialist care and education during hospital admissions and following discharge.
The post holder will work closely with the medical team caring for our patients with Neuroendocrine tumors which includes investigation ordering and close contact with patients. This exciting role will bring great opportunity to provide an enhanced and holistic experience to this patient group. The post holder will participate in the advanced care planning Multi-Disciplinary team meeting, to enable patient centred advanced care planning for end of life.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a variety of hospital and community teams, attending Multi-disciplinary Team meetings.
The post holder will also work collaboratively with the existing Hepatology nurse specialist team, and have a particular focus on managing the group of patients, alongside the existing nurse specialist.
Undertake nurse-led clinics and injection clinics for patients on treatment.
Liaise with other centres with regards to NET patients.
The post holder must be experienced in hepatobiliary nursing, and have excellent clinical knowledge in this field of nursing. They must possess excellent communication skills, and want to be part of a developing and patient focused team
