The Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry for a 12-month, full-time position on the Colne Ward in Hillingdon, Uxbridge. The ideal candidate will have experience in psychiatry and a good understanding of physical health conditions, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans with the multidisciplinary team, preparing medico-legal reports, and participating in the on-call rota. This role is designed for those looking to gain more experience in psychiatry, as it is not an approved training position.

The Specialty Doctor will have opportunities for continuing professional development, with provisions for study leave and annual appraisals. They will also engage in formal in-service training activities and contribute to teaching medical students. The post includes a range of clinical duties, such as risk assessments and liaising with external agencies, aimed at improving patient care within a busy psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) setting.
