Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a Consultant Haematologist specializing in lymphoma to join its Haematology team at Withybush General Hospital in Haverfordwest. This newly developed position offers a dynamic role focused on the introduction of a lymphoma subspecialty within the health board’s haematology services. The successful candidate will work with a dedicated team of seven consultants, providing comprehensive haematology care across multiple sites. Responsibilities include managing lymphoma and general haematology patients, attending and being on-call for inpatient care, and leading outpatient clinics. The appointee is also expected to contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and participate in the ongoing development of haematology services in the area.

Candidates should demonstrate relevant experience and be either GMC registered on the specialist register or close to obtaining a CCT. The role includes 10 sessions per week, including time for supporting professional activities, and the option for virtual clinics. The position emphasises the importance of delivering excellent patient care in a rural setting, supported by a robust team of clinical specialists.
