We are seeking applications from an enthusiastic, dedicated MRI Radiographer to join our existing team. Alternately, we can provide training support to the right candidate who is a self-motivated and hardworking individual, who can balance the challenges and opportunity of learning this modality.
Our team currently work flexibly with contemporary MRI equipment across three hospital sites using GE 1.5T, 3.0T and Philips 1.5T scanners. We are also supported by a CDC facility. You will have the opportunity to scan a wide range of paediatric and adult MRI examinations.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a high level of clinical expertise, have excellent communication skills, initiative and have the ability to work efficiently and positively within the multidisciplinary team. The individual selected will be prepared to continually develop themselves personally and professionally to benefit patients, our Trust and the team.
The post holder must have a flexible approach to their working life. The MRI service operates for 12.5 hours daily, 7 days per week. Our MRI staff work a 3-day shift pattern, which includes weekend and Bank holiday working.
Produce high quality diagnostic images and provide high quality patient care to the service users adhering to national guidelines and taking into account relevant legislation [Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IR(ME)R) 2000]. The post holder will work in a specialised Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) unit working independently and unsupervised. The ability to prioritise the workload is essential.
Provide motivation and training for junior staff.
