The Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist for a fixed-term role within the Lighthouse Maternal Mental Health Service in Shropshire Telford and Wrekin, primarily to cover maternity leave for 9 months. This position is part of a psychology-led team dedicated to supporting families facing challenges such as birth trauma, pregnancy or neonatal loss, and severe anxiety surrounding childbirth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for maternal mental health and will work in collaboration with midwives, consultants, and other mental health services to deliver comprehensive care.

The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting psychological assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing necessary interventions for families experiencing significant distress. Additionally, the role includes supervising junior psychologists, offering training placements, and contributing to the overall development of the service. The psychologist will operate autonomously, adhering to professional guidelines and Trust policies, while also engaging in research, audit, and service improvement initiatives.
