The Medical Workforce Capacity Manager at the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in Southampton will play a critical role in optimizing the deployment of both permanent and temporary medical staff throughout the organisation. This position involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including senior medical professionals, finance teams, and recruitment units, to control locum usage, reduce costs, and support the Trust’s key objectives. The role includes managing relationships with agency providers, addressing locum management issues, overseeing a small team, and contributing to projects aimed at enhancing medical staffing resources and rostering efficiency.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with medical workforce regulations, maintaining senior on-call rotas, and providing detailed reports to executive management. They will work closely with recruitment teams to align efforts toward minimizing locum reliance.
